KENNESAW, Ga. — The Kennesaw State men’s basketball team will host Conference USA No. 1 seed Liberty on Thursday, Feb. 25, in a pivotal late-season conference matchup.
The Owls enter the contest looking to capitalize on a favorable home opportunity as they continue to position themselves in the Conference USA standings.
Liberty has been one of the most consistent teams in the conference this season, using disciplined half-court offense and efficient perimeter shooting to secure the top seed. The Flames have controlled the pace in conference play and limited opponents with strong defensive pressure.
Kennesaw State will need to match that intensity from the opening tip.
The Owls have shown resilience at home this season, where they have played with increased tempo and defensive energy. Limiting turnovers and contesting Liberty’s outside shooting will be key factors throughout the game.
Offensively, Kennesaw State will look to establish rhythm early and create quality looks in transition. The Owls have been at their best when pushing the pace and attacking downhill, forcing opponents to defend without set positioning.
With postseason implications continuing to take shape, the matchup presents an opportunity for Kennesaw State to strengthen its standing and build momentum heading into the final stretch of conference play.
Tipoff is scheduled for 7 p.m. ET Thursday at the Convocation Center.
