KENNESAW, Ga. — Kennesaw State Owls football solidified much of its 2026 recruiting class Wednesday, announcing that 18 student-athletes signed during Day 1 of the early signing period.

The group includes 13 high-school seniors and five junior-college transfers, and, as the school confirmed, 15 of those signees will enroll early in January, joining spring practices and all football-related activity.

This early signing window, which runs Dec. 3-5 this year, is now the primary signing opportunity for many programs, allowing recruits to “put pen to paper” well before the traditional February signing period.

The 2026 class now appears to be taking shape, with national recruiting-industry trackers currently ranking Kennesaw State outside the top tier (247Sports ranks the Owls at 116), although the program remains 5th among its conference peers.

With the majority of early signees already committed, Kennesaw State can now shift focus to filling any remaining roster needs ahead of the final signing window in February.

The Owls will also once again look to add immense talent through the transfer portal. Notable pickups from last years portal include star quarterback Amari Odom, RB Coleman Bennett, and QB Dexter Williams II.

The portal opens Jan 2, 2026 and will be very important in the Owls continuing their success from this season into 2026.
