KENNESAW , Ga. — Kennesaw State returns home tonight looking to keep its early-season surge going as the Owls welcome Jackson State to the VyStar Arena. So far this season, it’s clear the Owls have been finding their rhythm. Their dramatic 102–100 overtime win last game was a sign of a group growing more confident by the game. Simeon Cottle’s 33-point performance reinforced his emergence as one of the Owls’ true difference-makers.

The biggest strength Kennesaw State brings into tonight’s matchup is tempo and versatility. The Owls love to push the pace, share the ball, and attack from multiple spots on the floor, which has put consistent pressure on opposing defenses. When KSU is flowing offensively, they’re tough to contain, especially at home.

Jackson State does present a few challenges that the Owls will need to be ready for. The Tigers have struggled on the road, but they can shoot it from deep and won’t hesitate to do so. Their perimeter threat means KSU’s defense will need to stay disciplined on closeouts and avoid giving up rhythm looks from beyond the arc. If the Owls force the Tigers into tough, contested shots and control the glass, they’ll put themselves in a strong position.

As we’ve seen through the first stretch of the season, this Kennesaw State group thrives when it sets the tone early. Expect the Owls to try to impose their pace, get out in transition, and let their guard play dictate the flow of the night. With momentum on their side and a home crowd behind them, KSU is well-positioned to win this matchup.

You can catch the Owls tonight at 7 p.m. EST on ESPN+.
